An example of an aristocratic function in Paris, France to which blog host, upon occasion, receives invitations to attend. Enlargement of this image reveals an impressive roster of noted political figures and prestigious patrons of the arts. (Were this function to be held at the Palace of Versailles in the late 15th and 16th centuries, surely powdered wigs and blue velvetine frocks would be prerequisites.)

A rare glimpse of a private letter from the President of the Monaco Ambassador's Club, Mr. Max Gurney: personal friends of the Royal Family of Monaco; former CEO of Pan-American Airlines; and friend of Col. Charles Lindbergh and your blog host. Note: This letter was in lieu of an invitation to a dinner at the Aerospace Museum, Balboa Park, San Diego, Ca., in which the Lindbergh Foundation gave awards in conservationism to noted figures such as actor Harrison Ford, astronaut Dr. Sally Ride and TV personality Jim Fowler. - ed.
